Deepening Cooperation with Germany: Israel MOD Leads Counter-Drone Seminar for German Police Chiefs

SIBAT, the International Defense Cooperation Directorate at the Israel Ministry of Defense, hosted a unique seminar to showcase Israel’s advanced capabilities in countering drone threats - one of the most complex global security challenges today. The seminar was held as part of a conference for German police chiefs on emergency preparedness, led by the Israel Police.

The seminar brought together over 40 participants, including approximately 20 police chiefs from Germany and Israel, who gained insights into Israel’s unique experience in countering drone threats - a field in which Israeli defense industries have developed extensive expertise in recent years, particularly during the war.

The visit took place within the framework of the Ministry’s strategy to increase defense exports and in light of Germany’s increased investment in domestic security. It represents a continuation of the close cooperation between Israel and Germany and the expansion of joint initiatives for knowledge exchange and addressing contemporary hybrid threats.

Twelve leading Israeli companies presented innovative technological solutions for detecting, tracking, and neutralizing hostile drones, with four companies conducting live demonstrations of their systems: D-FEND, SENTRYCS, PARAZERO, and SKYLOCK. The demonstrations included practical scenarios reflecting real threats facing security forces worldwide.
