IMOD Director General Visits SCD

Israel Ministry of Defense (IMOD) Director General, Maj. Gen. (Res.) Amir Baram, conducted a working visit this week to SCD, which specializes in advanced detectors.

During his visit, the Director General received a comprehensive briefing on the company's core technologies, products, and advanced IR detector capabilities that have been operational in combat across all fronts, as well as next-generation development directions.

Accompanying the Director General were the Head of the DDR&D, Brig. Gen. (Res.) Dr. Danny Gold, Deputy Director General and Head of the DPD, Ze'ev Landau, Elbit Systems President and CEO, Bezhalel (Butzi) Machlis, Rafael President and CEO, Yoav Tourgeman, and other senior officials.

The Director General and senior ministry officials toured the production lines, met with company employees, and expressed great appreciation for SCD's significant achievements in recent years and its contribution to Israel's defense capabilities.

In his conversation with company management and employees, he stated: "SCD's advanced technologies and detectors have operated with complete and exceptional success in central systems serving various platforms during the war. The connection between the Ministry, the defense industries, and SCD is unique, enabling operational superiority through the integration of the most advanced detectors. The importance of 'Blue and White' development and production capability in the quality and quantity required by the defense establishment cannot be overstated. The mission now is to translate what we've learned over the past two years, invest resources, and accelerate detector production to be ready for future challenges."
