New IMoD Directorate will be Established to Lead Israel's Revolution in AI, Robotics, Autonomous Technology, and more

Eyal Zamir: "The defense establishment will lead Israel's revolution in artificial intelligence, robotics, autonomous technology, energy, and disruptive innovation. To facilitate this, we are establishing a new directorate under the DDR&D in the Ministry of Defense that will develop cutting-edge technologies in these fields."

"Technological leadership is the key to victory on the battlefield. Just as Israel has proved itself as a global cyber power, the Israeli defense establishment will lead Israel's advancements in AI, directed energy weapons, and robotics", Maj. Gen. (Res.) Zamir said at the Israel Ministry of Defense's 2023 annual work plan conference held yesterday (Wednesday) in the presence of Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.

Director General Zamir presented his multi-year plan for the Israel Ministry of Defense and emphasized the importance of utilizing AI, robotics, and directed energy weapon technologies to gain an unparalleled advantage for intelligence, enemy exposure, and decision-making capabilities.
