Israel MOD Appoints Brig. Gen. Nir Weingold as Head of Budget Department

The Israel Ministry of Defense (IMOD) announced that Brig. Gen. Nir Weingold has assumed the position of Head of the Budget Department and Financial Advisor to the IDF Chief of General Staff, succeeding Brig. Gen. Gil Pinchas, who served in this role for the past four and a half years.

Earlier today, Brig. Gen. Nir Weingold was promoted to his rank in a ceremony led by Defense Minister Israel Katz and IDF Chief of General Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, with senior commanders and family members in attendance. Additionally, a formal appointment ceremony was held for Brig. Gen. Weingold, as Head of the Budget Department, presided over by the Ministry's Director General, Maj. Gen. (Res.) Amir Baram, and the Ministry's senior leadership forum.
